Saturday I made a quick 5 hour drive to and from UMaine Orono to see my Rachael test up at her Pink Gloves Boxing Showcase! Way to go Rachael!
Do you know that feeling, when you're driving on 95, and you go over the bridge....when you see the sign welcoming you to Maine, and suddenly you can breathe? It's an amazing phenomenon. I stopped at Mile 24 (I know, it's technically mile 25 but that's what my child mind will always call it) and it was such a contrast to the summer. Only about a dozen cars! I saw Linda Bean's Lobster Roll cart out there on the walkway, and although it was closed up tight for the season, it left me looking forward to summer. Maine is beautiful. So much to enjoy and reminisce about. It's where the living happens.
